Food4Good runs an active feeding programme by preparing and serving meals to the hungry in Tulbagh,
Presently 14 informal soup kitchens joined Food4Good, which plans to offer a central properly equipped kitchen where meals can be prepared. This will be done on a property leased by PantryPartners from the municipality. An area is planned where meals can be served in shade and at tables, instead of the present situation where the hungry line up in streets and sit and eat in the street exposed to the heat of the sun in summer, or rain in winter.
The Support Team will offer all kinds of activities to develop the most disadvantaged of the Tulbagh community.
The Kitchen
Presently food is prepared at the many different home kitchens of the volunteer kitchen team. Pantry Partners secured the lease of a property where a central kitchen will be constructed where volunteers will prepare meals. The meals will also be served at this property.
