Charlotta Steyn (Chair)

Charlotta was owner of a financial planning business for about 20 years, and then ventured with a Dutch partner into custom designed medical devices. When she retired she ran an up-market pet guest house. She was also founding member of the Kenmare Kloof Conservation Association.

Charlotta and her husband moved to Tulbagh in 2022 and was struck by the poverty and desolution in the local community, and decided to do something about it.

Pastor Gavin Buttress

Gavin Buttress is a highly accomplished procurement and operations specialist with a notable international career, bringing extensive expertise to leading corporations worldwide. His professional acumen in optimizing procurement strategies and streamlining operations has significantly impacted various organizations. 

In parallel with his corporate success, Gavin is a devoted Pastor at the AFM Church in Tulbagh. For over two decades, he has been a pillar of strength and compassion in the community, leading numerous initiatives aimed at uplifting marginalized and underserved poeple. His tireless dedication to community service, coupled with his profound passion for helping others, reflects his commitment to driving meaningful change and improving lives. Gavin’s dual role as a business leader and community advocate exemplifies his exceptional ability to blend professional excellence with deep-seated humanitarian values.

Ragel Louw

Ragel lived most of her live in Tulbagh and worked in many different local shops. She was deacon and elder in the VGK church and very active in women support.

Ragel is very fond of sports, baking and cooking. She was president of the Witzenberg Netball Union and Chairman of the Netball Wanderers. She later became Chairman of the United Netball Club where she also did coaching and was a referee.

She was Chair-person of the Governing Body of Steinthal Skills School She served on several governing bodies, including Waveren School and Badisa. She is presently involved with the Emanuel Society for the Aged.

Ragel joined Pantry Partners and Food4Good because she cares deeply for her community.


naudine verryne

Naudine Verryne

Naudine Verryne holds the degrees B.Proc and LLB obtained from the University of Pretoria (1998).

She grew up in Brits (North-West Province) and opened her private practice in that town as Verryne Attorneys, specializing in Third Party and Medical negligence claims. She closed her practice in 2019, when the family relocated to George in the Western Cape. They have recently moved to Tulbagh.

Naudine is also a qualified mediator with a formal qualification in Family Mediation.

Andelene Michaels

Andelene is a retired head mistress of a school in Tulbagh. She says:

Ek is betrokke by Food4Good met ’n opregte passie om mense te dien en ’n tasbare verskil in die gemeenskap te maak. Ek glo dat toegang tot kos nie net ’n fisiese behoefte is nie, maar ook ’n bron van waardigheid en hoop.

My betrokkenheid word gedryf deur empatie, integriteit en ’n sterk begeerte om van hulp te wees.
Ek word verder gemotiveer deur diens , deernis en samewerking om ń betekenisvolle inpak te maak.
